Most of my whole life I grew up in a small brick house on 21 North of Doniphan, MO. And I know I have a problem because I never got in trouble. And the reason is because if I even saw the look in my Mom’s or Sam’s face, my first thought was to run and jump on the arm of a old, red, leather recliner. And the person who always saved me was my Grammy. I new if I could make it to that arm of that chair, I new no one could get me because they would have to go through her. And no one never even thought about crossing my Grammy because they new better. I remember countless times when that took effect. The things that Grammy always had to have was Freedent Gum (the blue packs), her Fixodent for her dentures, she loved the Loaded Baked Potato Pringles, and last of not least, the White Diamond Perfume. I can still at rough times smell that exact smell. It was the things that made her happy, which made me happy. Except on the way back from Cape Girardeau one time when me and Sam was dying from Grammy and my Mom (ask Sambo about it). But there’s too many memories to share, growing up she was my idol, along with Sam, with him leaving to go to the shop telling Me and Grammy “I shall return”. But I had to get it out and I just wanted Grammy to know that I loved her and can’t wait to see her again someday.
