Kenneth Haywood Montgomery, 61, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Thursday, March 10, 2011, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
Mr. Montgomery, son of Kenneth Floyd and Lucille (Hassel) Montgomery, was born May 6, 1949, in Evanston, Illinois. He was a farmer. Mr. Montgomery enjoyed playing his guitar and motorcycle riding and was known in the biking club as "Captain". He was a member of the Sons of the Confederate Veterans and American Legion in Doniphan. Mr. Montgomery was a former member of the Vendetta's Bike Club.
On October 22, 1995, he was married to Debra Beardsley in Ripley County. She survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Lark Nicole Lepold and husband, Robert, of Doniphan; one sister, Rita Heyen and husband, Peter, of Ann Arbor, Michigan; and three grand-daughters.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Travis Justin Montgomery, and two brothers, Marvin Harris and Ruffin Harris.
Visitation for Mr. Montgomery will be Sunday, March 13, 2011, starting at noon at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Brother Pete Joplin will officiate and burial will be in the Doniphan City Cemetery.
