I remember Garret and Oma and Garnet at the theater where I used to get in for a dime years ago. I lost touch for many years and had renewed our friendship not too long ago, since 1999. I had just discovered that Garnet had attended Lone Star East school by reading one of her stories on the internet and couldn't wait to ask her about her days spent there. I never got to ask those questions. Garnet was gone. Farewell old friend. May God hold you in his loving hands. You memory will long out live you. You are missed.

Leah Jean(Keel) Owens would have like to attend, but couldn't due to weather. I would like to thank Bill & Sandra Kennon for all they have done over the years for Garnet, she has been alone a long time. I am so grateful that mom has been able to stay at Ronda's, sincerely David B. Owens.

Garnet and I got aquainted in the grocery store. She was always friendly and we enjoyed visiting while we shopped. To merely say that she loved her animals was a great understatement. There will never be another quite like Garnet. She left quite an impression on this community. We will all miss her.
