Obituary of Merton Curfman

Merton D. Curfman, 83, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Sunday March 25, 2012, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Curfman was born January 19, 1929 at Page, ND. He was a retired Chief Petty Officer from U.S. Navy from 1946 to 1976. He also retired from McDonnell Douglas Aircraft of St. Louis after 24 years of service.
He married Anna Jacobson in June 1950 at Yuna, AZ and she preceeded him in death in 1972 at St. Louis, MO in addition to Anna, he was also preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Loris (Woodbury) Curfman, one daughter, Debra Ann Pulling and one brother Marvin Curfman.
He later married Nola Parrish in 1974 at St. Louis, MO. She survives, other survivors include one daughter Helen J. Thompson of Semmes, AL and one brother, Ronald (Ellen) Curfman of Spring, TX, three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Mr. Curfman was of the Baptist Faith.
Graveside services will be 2:30 PM Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at Amity Cemetery with Dr. Mike Phelps officiating. The U.S. Navy will provide full military honors.
