Obituary of Bob Donaldson

Robert “Bob” William Donaldson, 78-year-old resident of Doniphan, MO, departed this life Tuesday, September 24, 2024. He was born December 27, 1945, in Joliet, Il, to the late William “Bill” and Mae Donaldson.

Bob had been employed at Missouri Forge as a trimer for 27 years and was known for his diligence, hard work, and strong work ethic. Above all, Bob loved his family deeply, cherishing them and relishing every moment spent with them, especially his grandchildren. In his downtime, he liked to relax watching movies, and loved spending time outdoors, whether fishing or riding four-wheelers.

Surviving is the love of his life, Della Donaldson of Doniphan; his children, Patrick Brown of Doniphan, Elizabeth Veatch of Mason, IL, Travis (Jackie) Donaldson of Doniphan, Melly Hofer of Chico, CA, Crystal (Allen) Smith, Kevin (Kristie) Donaldson, and Jake (Christina) Donaldson, all of Doniphan. Also surviving are 21 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, September 28, 2024, beginning at 10:00 a.m. with the funeral service to follow at noon. Brother Alan Wilson and Jody Wilson will be officiating, and burial will be in the Donaldson Family Cemetery on Highway 21North.
