Oh Grandpa where do I start? All of us grandkids have heard stories about how you were when our parents were younger, but we could never actually picture them because you were the complete opposite with us. You always had a little “kick” in your step and had never NOT given a snarky comment in a sentence. From laughing at pretty much anything I did, to constantly insulting you and calling you “old man” or “Monkey”, you never failed to laugh and call me something in return. From seeing you every day to not seeing you for a long time is gonna be hard, especially since your not outside waiting for someone to step out so that you find time to spend with us, or even bother us just too, because you were bored. I’m gonna miss throwing anything I can find that will make a mess on you, or taking advantage of you being so gullible to get a laugh in (sorry for making you think that the creek water was a new flavor of a drink), but also arguing with each other because when we went camping, you were mad I had the tv on, and I was mad for you always moving around in the middle of the night. It’s weird not knowing that you’re not gonna come knocking on the door again. It’s not normal that every time I step in your house now, it isn’t 100 degrees. I remember you would always come outside when one of us was out, and just sit there on my the end on your porch watching us or talking to mom. It’s so weird with you not here, because for the last couple years, my life revolved around you and plans mom would make with you. We’re all gonna miss you so much, and no words can truly emphasize how much you truly meant to any of us, because a word so great doesn’t exist. I’m gonna cherish each moment I had with you because they were the last. The last time I got to talk to you I called you an Ape, because you always kept up with Planet of the Apes and when you died you hair, it was meant to be your new nickname. We also Celebrated you today, and you would be proud to see most of the family together for once. I love you so so very much, and I’m gonna miss you a bit every single day. I love you Old Man.
