I have so many wonderful memories of Aunt Nema. She was an amazing cook - her cakes, pies, and hot rolls were incredible! I actually have a memory when Mom and Dad lived in St. Louis and Aunt Nema was baby-sitting us when we were very young. Somehow, Larry, Teresa, and I got into the coal bin to play and became absolutely filthy. I’m sure there is a photo somewhere that I would love to have! Poor Aunt Nema had to put us all in the bath to clean us up. After Mom and Dad moved to Doniphan, Nema and I became shopping buddies – whether it was groceries, Walmart, or checking out the local stores. As her niece, I will always treasure the time I was able to spend with Aunt Nema with the fondest of memories.
