Dwade, Justin, Sara, Matt, Kenzie, Madi, Mom and Dad Smith and siblings. I want to offer my condolence to your family. Tammy will be missed but we all know she is in heaven with our loved ones. I am sure she has that little one that passed on before holding her hand.
Tammy had more faith than most. She had the faith that one day she would get up and walk out of that nursing center. She did not walk out in the physical but she ran and danced out of there in the spiritual.
She was such a little fighter, I recall a memory on Brittanys birthday we went to Elephant rocks. Tammy was with us. Mom was going through cancer treatments but everyone wanted to go see the big rocks. The others ran ahead of us. Tammy was on a walker, but she struggled along with the rest of us. Finally mom said she needed to rest. I could tell they were both so tired. Mom told me Dianne i cannot go on i need to turn back. I said ok mom we will turn back after you rest. I asked Tammy how she was doing, i had not heard one word of complaint from her. She said well i am tired but I was going to keep going as long as everyone else was. She was always like that. She would just not quit.
She told me one day when i went to see her at the nursing center she wanted to go see god. She could only whisper but i heard her words. She was ready to meet jesus. She was not ready to leave her family but she knew she would no longer be in pain.
Last time i seen her she could only whisper but i told her i loved her. She whispered I love you to. She loved her family, She was so proud of you justin and those little ones. She lost some children and it made her want to spoil the one she had which she did but she was also very much a mother who disciplined you with love and taught you to love god. Through all the pain she held on to her faith and she would cling to that faith. she never blamed god for the pain and disability. She knew he had a much better plan for her. I have no doubt she is dancing around that throne for even in her last days of her life one of her favorite songs she wanted to listen to was Dancing in the sky. The photo im including is from our day at Elephant rocks.
