Obituary of Dean Odom

Jerry Dean Odom, 81, of Doniphan, MO, departed this life Monday, January 2, 2023, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, MO.  He was born February 26, 1941, in Ripley County, MO, to the late Arthur and Alma (Decker) Odom.

Dean had retired from serving as a counselor for Sears Youth Center. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. A couple of his favorite hobbies was watching the river flow and people watching. Dean cherished his family and time spent with them. Dean had served in the United States Army.

Surviving is his son, Bob (Danyelle) Odom of Doniphan; a sister, Jackie McCord of St. Charles, MO; two brothers, Dan Odom of Doniphan and Tim Odom of Cape Girardeau, MO; and two grandchildren, Kyler and Kaelyn Odom.

In addition to his parents, Dean was preceded in death by a sister, Yvonne “Sis” Kepley, and a brother, Bob Odom.

A graveside service will be held at Shiloh Cemetery on Friday, January 6, 2023, at 11:00 a.m.
