Obituary of Beulah Mae Coonce

Beulah Mae Coonce, 86, departed this life Tuesday, June 12, 2018, at her residence in Gatewood, MO.

 

Mrs. Coonce, daughter of Elmer Ray & Ila Sue (Cates) Murphey, was born October 22, 1931, in Ripley County, Missouri.  She was a homemaker and also had worked as a Nurse.  Mrs. Coonce enjoyed many special hobbies but she especially liked gardening, cooking, canning, and riding the tractor.  She also loved to take care of her family, and was an active member of the Doniphan Church of Christ.

 

On July 11, 1949, she was married to Thomas Coonce in Pocahontas and he preceded her in death on July 29,1998.

 

Mrs. Coonce was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson, Cody Coonce

 

Surviving are 2 daughters, Joyce (Larry) Redus of Maynard, AR and Carolyn (Keith) Leroux of Gatewood; 1 son, Thomas Carl (Loretta) Coonce Jr. of Grandin; 3 brothers Eddie Ray Murphey and Jimmy Murphey of Gatewood and Melvin Murphey of Doniphan; 5 grandchildren Kevin Redus, Lisa Crowder, Logan (Coonce) Linley, Chloe Coonce and Thomas Coonce; 6 great-grandchildren Ellie, Kelsie, Jesse, Casse, Noah and Kent; and 1 great-great-grandchild Wesson.

 

Visitation will be held Friday, June 15, 2018, from 2 – 3 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan.  The funeral service will take place Friday afternoon, June 15, 2018, at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Steve Sanders officiating.  Burial will follow in the Tucker Cemetery.
