As a small child growing up in Doniphan, I remember that Gordon was always working for God's glory. He helped so many in the church and community, and he always put me at ease. I knew I could always count on him. He was cheerful, and I always enjoyed his company. I looked up to him, and he never let me down. What a blessing he has been. May the family find comfort and peace in releasing Gordon to the Lord.

So many great memories of Gordon while I was growing up going to Emmanuel Baptist Church. Always a smile and always made me smile. They don't make them like him anymore. God Bless you all.

Margaret and I are so sorry to learn of Gordon's passing from this life. Terry, a
special thanks to you for trying to reach us before you left here for Doniphan
and thanks for your call an hour ago. By virtue of the fact that we worked in
the Doniphan school system, we were privileged to know each of you personally,
including Pearl and Gordon. Those are wonderful memories.
What a great family you are and have been in the Doniphan community. You are
in our thoughts and our prayers. May God Bless each of you in difficult times
such as these.

Gordon and Pearl were our friends when we attended Emmanuel Baptist Church many years ago. We loved them and their family. Gordon was truly a servant of the Lord as he was always willing to serve any way that he could. May God comfort as he will certainly be missed on this earth but I like to think of him and Pearl walking hand and hand on the streets of gold.
God bless you all!
