Macomb-Clifford S. Wilson, 94, of Macomb, Illinois, passed away at 6:29 AM Friday June 19, 2015 at the Elms Nursing Home in Macomb. He was born May 2, 1921 in Ryegate, Montana to Sterl and Agnes (Carlstrum) Wilson; he first married Mary Martha Ford on August 25, 1946 and had six children. Linda (Robert) Howard of Macomb, Illinois, David J. (Rosanna) Wilson of Keizer, Oregon, Mary Evelyn Wilson (deceased), Delores "Shorty" Barnes of Davenport, Iowa, Brenda R. Miller of Plymouth, Illinois, Georgia (Roger) Abernathy of Bushnell, Illinois. He later married Mary Ellen Krieg (Surviving) on May 7, 1977 bringing to the marriage four children Mary (Mike) Woodside of Industry, Illinois, Rhoda Cale Strang of Colchester, Illinois, Dennis (Donna) Cook of West Plaines, Missouri, Arita Ellen Cook (deceased) He is also survived by a sister Mary Anna (Wilbert) Hoff of Macomb, Illinois, 25 Grandchildren; several great and great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 grandchildren,1 great-grandchild, a brother Dan Wilson and a sister Ruth Christine. Clifford was raised in Bardolph, Illinois and after graduating he served in the Army during WWII. He lived and farmed in Industry for many years. He retired from King Seeley Thermos after 30 years. He loved to travel and was a craftsman. He was a member of the VFW. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Services will be at 10 AM Wednesday June 24, 2015 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Bishop Matt Thomas will officiate. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-7 PM June 23, 2015 at the Dodsworth-Piper-Wallen Funeral Home. Burial will be at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Doniphan, MO, on Thursday morning, June 25, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to McDonough District Hospital Hospice Program or the Elms Nursing Home.
