Glenna Hawkins Ellis, born on November 23, 1939, went to be with our Lord & Savior on June 20, 2015. She was a beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great-grandmother and friend.
She was the glue that kept her family together and will continue to be with them as a guardian angel.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elvin & Faye Hawkins and brothers George, Phillip & David Hawkins.
She is survived by daughters Donna (and Ricky) Lee, Sharon (and James) Coleman, & Trisha (and Tony) Leary; son Mark (and T J) Scheig; and embraced children Glen & Gayla Burns; grandchildren Eric Gilbee, Catrina Holt, Alicia Coleman, Brook Scheig, Bethany Kornegay, Logan Leary, Morgan Locke & Taylor Locke: embraced grandchildren Cortney and Christopher Burns; great-grandchildren Kyler Gilbee, Cadence Holt, Bentley Gilbee and Christain Robinson; and one sister Muriel Griggs.
Visitation for Ms. Hawkins Ellis will begin at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday morning, June 24, 2015, at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will follow at noon in the funeral home chapel with Pastors Josh Parnell and Kent Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Pope Chapel Cemetery followed by fellowship at the Currentview Church of Christ.
