Victor Paul Chaligoj, Sr. 86 year old resident of Doniphan died Friday, January 9, 2009 at the Mark Twain Caring Center in Poplar Bluff, MO. Mr. Chaligoj was born October 15, 1922 in Pickins, West Virginia to the late Frank and Meriauna Stavanna Chaligoj. He was a retired truck driver and loved to hunt and fish. He was married to Virginia Parish, who preceded him in death. He later married Reba Molene Coleman, who survives. Other survivors include two sons, Paul and Joe Chaligoj of Doniphan; one daughter, Rita Hilton of Doniphan; four step-children, Kim Sullivan and Karen Chaligoj of Doniphan; and Kenny and Kevin Coleman of Grandin, MO. One brother, Mike Chaligoj of Doniphan; four grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, five step grandchildren, and one step great-grandson. Also preceding Mr. Chaligoj in death was three brothers and one sister. Funeral services for Mr. Chaligoj will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, January 12, 2009 at the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Doniphan with Bro. Hubert Payne officiating. Burial will be in the Macedonia Cemetery. Visitation for Mr. Chaligoj will be from 5-8 P.M. Sunday in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel.
