Obituary of Brenda Beaty

Brenda Kay Beaty, 57, of Doniphan, Missouri, was called to the Lord after losing her battle to cancer Wednesday, May 13, 2015, at her residence in Doniphan. Brenda was born August 23, 1958, in St. Louis, Missouri, to the late Glenda Sue (Bedwell) and Joseph Taylor Ray. Also preceding her in death is daughter, Kimberly Beaty, and granddaughter, Alyssa Mitchell. Brenda is survived by two daughters: Christy Mitchell and husband, Danny Mitchell with 3 grandchildren, Ricky, Ryan and Decklan Mitchell, all of Naylor, Missouri; and Shannon Cannon and husband, Chuck Cannon with 4 grandchildren, Payten Boone, Jordan Sumner, Chad Cannon and Luke Cannon, all of Doniphan; 1 sister, Rhonda Patton of Doniphan; 1 brother, Mark Turner and wife Misti and niece Kirstin Turner, all of Poplar Bluff; 1 maternal uncle, Newt Bedwell, 1 paternal uncle, Marvin Ray and 1 paternal aunt, Glenda Ray; and several loved cousins and longtime friends Brenda was a wonderful mother and homemaker who adored every moment possible with her grandchildren. Brenda began her battle in July of 2014 and was loved by many and will be missed by all. Visitation services will be held at Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan on Saturday evening, May 16, 2015, from 5 - 8 p.m. The funeral service will start on Sunday, May 17, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in the Pine Cemetery with Pastor Harold Sheppard officiating and special guest speaker, Pat Campbell..
