Nina Lorene Taylor, 80, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Sunday, January 4, 2009, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Mrs. Taylor, a lifelong resident of Ripley County, was born July 21, 1928, in Calm, Missouri, to the late Henry and Lou Ella (Davis) McArthur. She was retired from Vitronic factory in Doniphan and was of the Baptist faith. She liked to make quilts, travel and enjoyed family get-togethers. On March 28, 1947, she was married to Everett J. Taylor in Pocahontas, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on May 23, 1985. Surviving are one daughter, Charlotte Huffman, and one son, Johnny Taylor and his wife, Brenda, all of Doniphan; two grandchildren, Johnny Taylor, Jr. and his wife, Julie, and Shannon Davis and her husband, Billy; five great-grandchildren, Madyson Taylor, McKynlie Taylor, Taylor Davis, Tara Davis and Morgan Taylor; one sister, Lydia Faye Gillispie, of Rocky Comfort, Missouri; and one brother, James McArthur, of Arnold, Missouri. Mrs.Taylor was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one daughter, Mary Lou Taylor, one sister, Dorothy Vester, and three brothers, Rubin McArthur, Doyle McArthur and Gordon McArthur. Visitation will be Tuesday evening, January 6, 2009, from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will be Wednesday, January 7, 2009, at 1:00 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Hubert Payne officiating. Burial will follow in the Liberty Cemetery.
