William J. "Bill" Beston, 81, of Doniphan, Missouri, departed this life Wednesday, March 25, 2015, at Southeast Health of Ripley County in Doniphan.
Mr. Beston, son of Thomas and Nellie (Alldaffer) Beston, was born March 25, 1934, in Denver, Colorado. He had been a printer at Gates Manufacturing. Mr. Beston was a member of Civil Air Patrol in Colorado and of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Doniphan. He was a former chief of the Poynor Fire Department. Mr. Beston was a veteran of the U. S. Army and had served in the Korean War.
On March 30, 1956, he was married to Elaine Johnson in Denver, Colorado, and she preceded him in death on February 6, 2002.
Surviving are one daughter, Sharon (Larry) McClintock of Doniphan; 2 sons, Dale (Millie) Beston of Doniphan and Dean Beston of Denver, Colorado; 6 brothers, Larry (Shirley) Beston, Dick (Vangie) Beston, John (Becky) Beston, Dennis (Beverly) Beston, Gary Beston and Jim Beston, all of Denver, Colorado; 4 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Sunday evening, March 29 2015, from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will take place Monday morning. March 30, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Poynor Cemetery.
