Obituary of J.D. Leroux

Gerald Dean "J. D." Leroux, Sr., passed away Monday night, January 26, 2015, at his residence in rural Doniphan, Missouri. Mr. Leroux, son of Edward and Maxine (Henson) Leroux, was born August 5, 1964, in Doniphan. He had been an emergency medical technician and served as a dispatcher with the Rural Metro Ambulance and the Butler County Ambulance. He was also a volunteer fireman with the Purman, Logan Creek, K Highway and Doniphan City Volunteer Fire Departments. Mr. Leroux enjoyed race cars, riding four-wheelers and playing music, especially the guitar and bass. On December 29, 1984, he was married to Lisa House in Gravel ridge, Arkansas, and she survives. Also surviving are two children, Gary Leroux and Kristy Leroux, both of Doniphan; one sister, Brandy Smith of Doniphan; one brother, Jimmy Leroux of Edinburgh, Indiana; and four grandchildren, Hannah, Hunter, June, and Lane. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be held Friday evening, January 30, 2015, from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will take place Saturday afternoon, January 31, 2015, at 2:00 p.m in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery with Brother Eric Leroux officiating.
