O'Kelly Turner Wyatt, 81, of Fairdealing, Missouri, died Tuesday, November 11, 2008, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
Mr. Wyatt was born July 6, 1927, in Portageville, Missouri, to the late Mack and Annie (Coonrod) Wyatt. He was retired from General Motors and was a farmer. Mr. Wyatt attended Logan Creek Baptist Church and was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed gardening and fishing and was an active trapper.
On May 28, 1949, he was married to Rita J. Perkins in Piggott, Arkansas. She survives.
Also surviving are five children; Bud Wayne Wyatt, Dewayne Patrick Wyatt and Mary Alice Wyatt, all of Fairdealing, Missouri, Kelly Jason Wyatt of Bloomfield, Missouri, and Judy Foulks of Doniphan; one brother, Elmo Wyatt of Troy, Alabama; one sister, Mary Beth Elrod of Harviell; thirteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday evening, November 14, 2008, from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will be Saturday afternoon, November 15, 2008, at 1:00 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with Brothers Lee Kirby and Jerry Crowley officiating. Burial will be in the Pilgrim's Cemetery.
