Lana Seay Lana Jean Seay, 72, of Doniphan, Missouri, passed away Monday, December 29, 2014, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
Mrs. Seay, daughter of Osborne and Arlene Robbin (Corbin) Langford, was born August 1, 1942, in Hollywood, California. A homemaker, she enjoyed knitting, drinking coffee outside in warm weather and she especially enjoyed being with her family, notably her grandchildren. Lana was a member of the Doniphan First Church of God, serving on the Condolence Committee and she was also a member of the V.F.W. Post #3485 Ladies Auxiliary. She never met a stranger and routinely greeted everyone she encountered with a smile.
On June 23, 1962, she was married to Joe Seay in Hollywood, California, and he survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Rosina McIntyre of Doniphan and Laura (Blaine) Murrell of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; 8 grandchildren, Bradley (Ashley) Thompson, Brian (Ashley) Thompson, Carolyn Thompson, Taylor Pearl McIntyre (and fiancé, Cody Wilson), Luke Cannon, Shelby Murrell, Corbin Murrell and Cassie (Travis) Templemire; and six great-grandchildren, Riley Jean Thompson, Bentley Thompson, Remington Thompson, McKenleigh Wilson, Macie Templemire and B. A. Templemire.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Osborne Langford, Jr., and her beloved daughter, Robbin.
Visitation will take place Friday evening, January 2, 2015, from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will be held Saturday afternoon, January 3, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. at the Doniphan First Church of God followed by burial at Amity Cemetery.
