Obituary of David Johannsen

David Otto Johannsen, 70, of Cherokee Village, Arkansas, passed away on Monday, December 29, 2014, at the Eagle Crest Nursing Home in Ash Flat, Arkansas.
Mr. Johannsen, son of the late Harris Ivan and Vera Marie (Henderson) Johannsen, was born July 2, 1944. He had worked in auto manufacturing in Holland, Michigan. Mr. Johannsen enjoyed fishing, boating, camping and hunting.
On June 11, 1985, he was married to Dorothy Geary in Haines City, Florida, and she preceded him in death on November 8, 2013.
Surviving are four children: Phillip (Stephanie) Johannsen, Aaron Johannsen, Andrew (Nikki) Johannsen of Virginia and Lorenda (Marc) Crane of Greenville, Missouri; four step-children, Spencer (Tracie) Turner, Charles Turner and Joie Turner, all of Doniphan, Missouri, and Tammy (Terry) Yarbrough of Broseley, Missouri; one sister, Linda (Bill) Palmer; four brothers, Michael (Janice) Johannsen, Danny (Michele) Johannsen, Stephen (Jamie) Johannsen and Mark (Shannon) Johannsen; and several grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Mr. Johannsen was also preceded in death by one daughter, Stacey (Johannsen) Ormsby and one grandson, Colten Turner.
A graveside service will take place Wednesday afternoon, December 31, 2014, at 2:30 p.m. at Towles Cemetery in Doniphan.
