Hubert Douglas Crain, 82-year-old resident of Oxly, MO, died Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at St. Francis Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO. Hubert was born on August 10, 1932 in Oxly, MO. He was an auto mechanic by trade and loved to dance in his free time. He was preceded in death by his parents, Velpoe & Bertha (Ryan) Crain, and his wife, Barbara Crain. Hubert is survived by his brother, Earl Crain, his sister, Elizabeth Crain Gorden, daughter Brenda (Crain) Solheim, son-in-law Dale Solheim, granddaughters Gina and Kristin, and great granddaughter, Lily Bea, all residing in California. Hubert is also survived by long-time friend and constant companion, Marjorie Ray, and Marjorie's daughter, Kathie Ray Daves and her husband, Jerry Daves.
Graveside services for Mr. Crain will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 19, 2014 in the Antioch Cemetery, Oxly, MO. Arrangements will be handled by Edward's Funeral Home, Doniphan, MO.
