Ruth Lee Taylor, 77, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Sunday, October 5, 2008, at her residence. Mrs. Taylor was born April 15, 1931 in Doniphan. She was a housewife and enjoyed traveling, gardening and going to yard sales. On September 13, 1954, she was married to "Buster" Taylor in Hernando, Mississippi. He preceded her in death on May 18, 1979. Mrs. Taylor is survived by five sons: Earl "Dink" Taylor and his wife, Connie, Gerald Taylor and his wife, Djuana, and Clarence Taylor and his wife, Barbara, all of Doniphan, Kenny Taylor and his wife, Brenda, of Rockfield, Kentucky, and Wayne Taylor and his wife, Vickie, of Steele, Missouri; one daughter, Daisy Crawford, of Jonesboro, Arkansas; three sisters, Georgia Taylor and Stella Hoefer, both of Doniphan, and Joyce Grissom of Pocahontas, Arkansas; one brother, Joe Ryan, of Doniphan; eighteen grandchildren, Katie, Jarrod, Levi, Zachary, Terri, Kay, Brian, Jerome, Nikki, Chuck, Randy, Dana, Bradley, Delana, Mark, Deanna, Robbie and Scott; and several great and great-great grandchildren.. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Sam Picford and Virgie Lee (Johnson) Ryan; three brothers, Acel Ryan, Jerry Ryan and Charles Ryan; two sisters, Dorothy Ray and Edith Garrison; and one grandson, Darrel Taylor. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 8, 2008, beginning at 11:00 a.m. with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Officiant is Brother Hubert Payne and burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Ripley County Transit.
