Cletus Vone Douglas, 83, of Maynard, Arkansas, died Tuesday, September 30, 2014, at the John J. Pershing VA Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
Mr. Douglas, son of Leo and Betty Ola (James) Douglas, was born September 19, 1931, in Tennessee. He had been an over-the-road truck driver. Mr. Douglas was a veteran of the U. S. Army having served during the Korean Conflict.
On December 21, 1979, he was married to Patty Lou Harris in Aurora, Illinois, and she survives.
Also surviving are 4 children: Timothy Vone Douglas of Doniphan, Missouri, Barry Reginald Douglas of Licking, Missouri, Teresa Florence Ledbetter of Dora, Missouri, and Michael Patrick Douglas of Bolivar, Missouri; one sister, Betty Hudspeth of Tennessee; one brother, Harold James of Hernando, Mississippi; two step-sons, David Lee Newton and Jeffery Allen Newton, both of Laport, Indiana; 11 grandchildren and several great and great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Christopher George Douglas, one step-daughter, Julie Ann Newton, and one sister, Wanda Sue Bullington.
There will be a graveside service Saturday, October 4, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. at the Maynard Cemetery in Maynard, Arkansas.
