Joy Wilson, 72, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Tuesday September 23, 2008, at the Ripley County Memorial Hospital in Doniphan.
Mrs. Wilson was born December 25, 1935, in Moline, Illinois. She was a retired self-employed beautician. Mrs. Wilson enjoyed making crafts and paintings and loved her grandchildren.
Mrs. Wilson is survived by three sons; Mark (and Pam) Poulos of Rock Island, Illinois, Shannon (and Brenda) Poulos of Davenport, Iowa, and Sharmon (and Vickie) Poulos of Moline, Illinois; one daughter, Angel (and Keith) Amundson of Doniphan; one brother, Duane (and Darlene) Stickrod; nine grandchildren, Jason Wilson, Ryan and Amber Carlson, John and Elizabeth Poulos, Steven and Tammi Poulos, Steven Poulos, Starla Steward, Shayla and Doug Armour, April Carlson and Courtney Carlson; and five great-grandchildren, Jacob, Brealen, Brandon, Karter and Ryker.
Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Dorothy (Bebber) Stickrod, one sister, Carol Sanford, and two sons, Steven Poulos and baby Sheldon.
Visitation will begin Saturday morning, September 27, at 9:30 a.m., at the Hodgson Funeral Home in Rock Island, Illinois. Funeral services will follow at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline, Illinois.
