Richard L. Brooks, age 76, of St. John, MO, died on Wednesday, September 3, 2014. He was born February 4, 1938, in Doniphan, MO.
Mr. Brooks was the beloved husband for 55 years of Betty L. (Emmons) Brooks who survives.
Also surviving are two children, David (Barbara) Brooks and Janet (Kurt) Hansen; three grandchildren, Joshua, Jacob and Eric Brooks; two brothers, Vernon and Wendell Brooks; and he was a dear brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend.
He was preceded in death by his parents and eight siblings.
Mr. Brooks was a retired Boeing Machinist. He loved to golf, fish and travel.
Visitation was held at Shepard Funeral Home in St. Louis, MO, on Friday, September 5, from 6:00 to 8:00pm. Visitation was also held at Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan, MO, on Sunday, September 7, from 12:00 noon until the Funeral Service at 2:00pm. Burial followed at Macedonia Cemetery in Doniphan.
