Lura Elanie Lomax, 90, of Ripley County died Saturday, August 23, 2008, at the Ripley County Memorial hospital in Doniphan. Mrs. Lomax was born July 6, 1918, in Matthews to the late James Richard & Letha Alberta (Presson) Settles. She was a member of the Doniphan Church of Christ. On June 26, 1989, she married John "Jack" Lomax in Pocahontas, AR. He survives. Mrs. Lomax was preceded in death by one sister Elva Depro and one brother Joe Settles. Visitation will began 1 PM Tuesday August 26, 2008 with Graveside services following at 2 pm with Mr. Steve Sanders officiating. Burial will be in Doniphan City Cemetery.
