Lloyd Elbert Clements, 89, of Doniphan, Missouri, died August 19, 2008, at his residence.
Mr. Clements was born March 23, 1919, at Ravenden Springs, Arkansas. He was a self-employed carpenter and enjoyed gardening and flowers, a farmer at heart.
On March 3, 1945, he was married to Wanda L. Hamilton at Walnut Ridge, Arkansas. She survives.
Also surviving are three daughters; Dorris Elouise Gere of Iola, Kansas, Anita Marie Jones of Carthage, Missouri, and Karen Faye Brown of Fairdealing, Missouri; one sister, Enid Hill of Kent, Washington, one brother, Larry Clements of Doniphan; and eight grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren.
Mr. Clements was preceded in death by his parents, Loranza and Glenna Hope Walker Clements, one son, Larry Wendell Clements, one daughter, Kathy Gail Clements, one sister, Crystal Rogers and one brother, Kenneth Clements.
Visitation will be Friday evening, August 22, 2008, from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will be held on Saturday afternoon, August 23, 2008, at 1:00 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with Brother John Harwell officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
