Lavern Pritchard, 90, of St. Charles, Missouri, formerly of Doniphan, Missouri, died Wednesday, August 6, 2008, at her residence.

Mrs. Pritchard was born September 18, 1917, at Wingo, Kentucky. She was a factory worker at National Vendors.

On May 10, 1936, she was married to Thomas Earl Pritchard at Ponder, Missouri. He preceded her in death on June 17, 1989.

Mrs. Pritchard is survived by one daughter, Lynda Kay Gabriel,of St. Charles and one son, Larry Roger Pritchard of Lewiston, Idaho; four sisters, Bonnie Montgomery and Mescal West, both of Poplar Bluff, Iris Jordan of Doniphan and Maxine Shirley of Millington, Tennessee; and six grandchildren.

She is also preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mary Etta Aldridge Shelby; one grandchild, four sisters, Mabel Shelby, Mary Branson, Lexie Spell and Maybelle Martin; and two brothers, Boyd Shelby and Guy Shelby.

Visitation will be Saturday morning, August 9, 2008, beginning at 9:00 a.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan with the funeral service to follow at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Brother Steve Sanders will officiate and burial will be in the Doniphan City Cemetery.
