Joel Carl Snead, 74, of Doniphan, Missouri, departed this life on Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at his residence.
Mr. Snead, son of Joseph and Helen Snead, was born November 9, 1939, in Oakland, California. He was retired from the U. S. Air Force. Mr. Snead was a member and post commander of the V.F.W. Post 3485 in Doniphan.
On September 10, 1983, he was married to Nona (Brower) in San Pedro, California. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Joel Snead, Jr. of Roseville, California, and Jack Snead of San Pedro, California; grandchildren Hope and Cali Snead, Hana and J.J. Snead, Blake Wright and Alexandra Ford.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation for Mr. Snead will begin at noon Friday, May 2, 2014, at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
