Obituary of Vesta Hurt

Genevieve Hurt, 89, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Tuesday, July 22, 2008, at the Current River Nursing Center in Doniphan.
Mrs. Hurt, daughter of the late Howard and Henrietta Edwards Ollar, was born January 23, 1919, in Ripley County, Missouri. She was a homemaker and a member of the Briar Missionary Baptist Church.
On September 12, 1936, she was married to Ezra Hurt at Doniphan, Missouri. He preceded her in death on September 20, 1992.
Surviving are three daughters: Barbara Kennon of Springfield, Missouri, Beverly Gilmore of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, and Brenda Hopkins of Doniphan; one brother, Harvard Ollar of LaPlace, Louisiana; eight grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, July 24, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. at the Pine Cemetery with Steve Pruett, grandson, officiating.
