Obituary of James Nonnemaker

James A. J. Nonnemaker, 90, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Monday, April 14, 2014, at Southeast Health Center of Ripley County in Doniphan.
Mr. Nonnemaker (Pappy), son of Robert and Carrie (Delong) Nonnemaker, was born April 18, 1923, in Allentown, Pennsylvania. He had been a truck driver and was a veteran of the U. S. Army having served his country during World War II.
On October 19, 1946, he was married to Mary Inez Winters (Mammy). She preceded him in death on March 20, 2005.
Those surviving him include his daughter, Linda Spencer of Wichita, Kansas; his grandchildren John Nonnemaker of Pensacola, Florida, James Nonnemaker of Boca Raton, Florida, Kelly McCorgary (Spencer) of Valley Center, Kansas, and five great-grandchildren, Savanna, Alec, Keira, Landon, and Claire.
Family members preceding James include his parents, loving wife Mary, his son Robert and 11 brothers and sisters.
Visitation for Mr. Nonnemaker will be Wednesday evening, April 16, 2014, from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. A funeral service will take place Thursday morning, April 17, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Burial (with full military honors) will follow in the Doniphan City Cemetery where he will be laid to rest next to his wife, Mary (Mammy).
