Otto P. Becker, 82, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, departed this life to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 8, 2014, at his residence in rural Poplar Bluff.
Mr. Becker, son of Frank C. and Willie Mae (Reynolds) Becker, was born July 25, 1931, in Jasper, Arkansas. He had been employed in construction. Mr. Becker was of the General Baptist faith and enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing.
On January 1, 1954, he was married to M. Ruth Payne in Ripley County, Missouri, and she survives.
Also surviving are three sons: Douglas (and Jeannie) Becker and Clifton (and Ellen) Becker, both of Poplar Bluff, and Roger (and Marie) Becker of Springdale, Arkansas; three daughters, Beverly (and Chuck) Bowie of Paragould, Arkansas, Sharon (and Ray) Richmond of Doniphan, Missouri, and Cynthia (and Daniel) Anderson of Pineville, Missouri; one sister, Ruby Darnell of Marion, Indiana; two brothers, Kennard Becker of Marion, Indiana, and Earl Becker of Warren, Indiana; and 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Samuel, four sisters and one brother.
Visitation will be held Thursday evening, April 10, 2014, from 5 - 8 p.m. in the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will take place Friday afternoon, April 11, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Hubert Payne officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
