Obituary of Edna Lorey

Edna Lee Lorey, 77, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Tuesday, July 15, 2008, at the Current River Nursing Center in Doniphan.
Mrs. Lorey was born June 23, 1931, in Ripley County, Missouri. She, along with her husband, was an owner/operator of Deer Lodge and Campground in Doniphan. Mrs. Lorey was of the Baptist faith and a member of the Eastern Star and VFW Ladies Auxilliary Post #3485. She enjoyed antiques and gardening.
On March 4, 1949, she was married to Gerald Henry Lorey at Fulton County, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on October 13, 2006.
She is survived by one son, Gerald Randolph "Randy" Lorey of Fenton, Missouri; two grandchildren, Gerald Henry Lorey and Kimberli Jo Edmiston; six grandchildren, Tyler Edmiston, Ben Edmiston, Grayson Lorey, Lad Lorey, Cameron Lorey and Colyn Lorey; and three sisters, Lois Swigert and Joyce Griffin, both of Doniphan and May Raney of Mary Esther, Florida.
Mrs. Lorey is also preceded in death by her parents, O. J. and Rose Dale Smith and three brothers, Hanford Smith, Jack Smith and Howard Smith.
Visitation will be Friday evening, July 18, 2008, from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will be Saturday, July 19, 2008, at 1:00 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Hunt-White Memorial Gardens in Doniphan.
