Obituary of Marie Green

Marie Elaine Green, 78 year old resident of Doniphan, MO died Saturday, March 29, 2014 in the Landmark Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO. Mrs. Green was born April 3, 1935 in Casey, IL. A business woman, she worked as a legal secretary and also received her certification as a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), becoming the first woman in the state of Missouri to achieve that distinction. She was also Regional Director for the Boykin Spaniel Rescue, which served seven states. Marie was a member of the Eastern Star and First Christian Church of Doniphan where she served as Deaconess. She enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, golfing, loved the outdoors, especially loved raising her dogs, and she was an Artist, specializing in oil paints. On May 27, 1978 she was married to Donald Lynn Green, in Doniphan, MO. He survives. Also surviving are six children, Sue (Bob) Schaper of Imperial, MO; Curt (Suzanne) Kimes of Imperial, MO; Jeff Green of Spring City, TN; Montana Runninghorse of Spring City, TN; Debbie Dillard of Spring City, TN; Doug (April) Green of Doniphan, MO; three sisters, Marion (Doug) Ward of South Lyon, MI; Helen (Tom) Pridemore of Prague, Oklahoma; Lindy (Bob) McCoy of Rockwood, MI; seven grandchildren, Kelly Crooks, Curtis and Jay Kimes, Keshia and Kody Berrong, Cora Green, and Emily Dillard; Also surviving are two great-grandchildren, Amber and Matthew Crooks. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Endres and Tollis Simpson ; and two brothers, Bob and Bill Endres. Funeral services for Mrs. Green will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 2, 2014 in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. John Harwell officiating. Visitation will be held from 5-8 P.M. Tuesday evening. Burial will be in the Hunt-White Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude Childrens Hospital.
