Obituary of Harry Strahorn

Harry V. Strahorn, 72, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Monday, March 28, 2011, at his residence.
Mr. Strahorn, son of Robert M. and Lottie (Samms) Strahorn, was born March 28, 1939, in Harlem, Illinois. He was a supervisor in shipping and receiving for Atwood. Mr. Strahorn was a Mason for 19 years and was an avid fisherman. He enjoyed hunting and fixing old cars.
On May 17, 1976, he was married to Patsy Martin in Belvedere, Illinois. She survives.
Also surviving are seven children: Lex V. Strahorn and Lance Strahorn, both of Bradenton, Florida; Lonnie Strahorn, Leana Stivers, Scott Strahorn (Lonny), and Lacey Strahorn, all of Grandin, Missouri; and Kimberly Woodard of Rockford, Illinois; two sisters, Pat Ott and Margaret Shoemaker, both of Rockford, Illinois; three brothers, Robert "Bobby" Strahorn of Rockford, Illinois, Arthur Strahorn of Wappapello, Missouri, and A. J. Strahorn of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; and thirteen grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one great-grandchild, and three sisters, Dawn Poore, Corrlie Sue Strahorn and Barbara Farrey.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 4, 2011, at Delhanty Funeral Home in Rockford, Illinois, with burial to follow in the Willwood Cemetery.
