Robert E. Reichelt, 84, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Tuesday, July 1, 2008, at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
Mr. Reichelt was born February 23, 1924, in St. Louis, Missouri. He was an engineer and probation officer. Mr. Reichelt was a member of St. Benedict's Catholic Church in Doniphan and was a U. S. Army veteran having served in World War II. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid golfer.
On January 29, 1949, he was married to Justine Marie Johnson in St. Louis. She preceded him in death on October 13, 1999.
Surviving are three daughters; Robin Ann Reichelt Burns of Orange, California, Judith Ann Noorzad of Big Rock, Illinois, and Susan Marie Leston of Napierville, Illinois; one sister, Marion Hunter of Glen Ellyn, Illinois; and seven grandchildren.
Mr. Reichelt was also preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Eleanor Vonholter Reichelt and one sister, Pat.
Visitation will be held Thursday evening, July 3, 2008, from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will be Friday, July 4, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Benedict's Catholic Church with Father David Coon officiating. Interment will be Monday, July 7, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Cemetery in St. Louis.
