Willie Isaac Walters, 82, of Doniphan, Missouri, passed away March 30, 2011, at the Ripley County Memorial Hospital in Doniphan. Mr. Walters was born March 29, 1929, in Dixon Basin, Missouri, to Charles William Walters and Amanda Stevens (Barton) Walters. He enjoyed hunting, fishing camping and spending time with family. He was married to Earnestine Davidson on January 8, 1949, at Salem, Arkansas. She preceded him in death on March 28, 2009. Surviving are children; Dennis Walters and wife, Linda, of Myrtle, Missouri, Darrell Walters and wife, Barbra of West Plains, Missouri, Marsha Croy and husband, Ronnie, of Doniphan, Judy Merritt and husband, Calvin, of Doniphan, Gina Bennett and husband, Donald, of Milburn, Kentucky, Donnie Walters and fiance', Kat Lancaster, of Doniphan, Tony Walters and wife, Susan, of Oxly, Missouri, David Walters of Doniphan, Glen Walters of Doniphan, Kim Reed of Doniphan, Benji Walters of Doniphan and Jody Walters and fiance', Dawn Williamson, of Doniphan; one son-in-law, Richard Lea of Mulberry, Kansas; 26 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Amanda Walters, 6 brothers, 4 sisters, 1 daughter, Carolyn Lea, 2 grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild Visitation will be held Thursday evening, March 31, 2011, from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will be Friday morning, April 1, 2011, at the funeral home chapel at 10:00 a.m. with Brother Charles Carr officiating. Burial will be in the Walters Family Cemetery.
