Obituary of Eva Snodgrass

Eva Louise Drane Snodgrass passed on to Jesus on February 19th. at Mercy Hospital in Hot Springs, AR. She was 85. She was born on April 17, 1928 in Pine, MO, daughter of Clifford and Naomia Drew Drane. She was married to Elvin "Windy" Snodgrass on June 3, 1950 who preceded her in death. She had two children, Jimmy Wayne, who also proceeded her in death and Marilyn Siverson who currently lives in Hot Springs, AR. She is survived also by her daughter in-law, Linda Snodgrass, two sisters's Deloris Smith of Belleville, Ill and Francis Camden of Odessa, TX and one brother, Jack Drane of Ash Flats, AR. Three grandchildren, Gary Moore of Poplar Bluff, Mo, Malisa Moore, Hot Springs, AR, and Dustin Snodgrass of Cape Girardeau and 6 great grandchildren. She was a teacher who began her career in the 1940's at Handy School. She retired from teaching in 2001 in Poplar Bluff, Mo. Her career spanned over 60 yrs. She always valued education. She received degrees from UA at Jonesboro, AR and SEMO at Cape Girardeau, MO. She instilled the value of education in her family and the many hundreds of students whose lives she touched. Funeral Services for Mrs. Snodgrass will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 22, 2014 in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be from 5-8 P.M. Friday, February 21, 2014. Burial will be in the Pine Cemetery. The family is welcoming prayers, flowers, and/or donations to Alzheimer foundation in her name.
