Dear Mrs. Ketchum, My deepest sympathies go out to you and your family for your loss. I was able to meet your husband on a few occasions and enjoyed our conversations. Scriptures come to my mind when we lose a loved one in death such as when Job faced troubles."If man dies, can he live again?"(Job 14:14,15)For an answer to that, I have personally been comforted by Acts 24:15 where it talks about a resurrection to life. Also Isaiah 25:8,9 says that god will swallow up death forever. This is a promise I look forward to. Please find comfort by drawing close to God. (James 4:8)
