Dear Ed, I am so sorry about Veta. I know you will miss her teriibly. I am so sorry I could not make it but my mother had to have surgery and I was out of town. I will try to come see you. I will never forget all the great times on the farm with both of you!! I love you very much and you are in my prayers.

Dear Ed, I am so sorry to hear of Veta's passing. There are so many wonderful memories of you both from my childhood. I cherish all the sweet smiles, gentle hugs, kindness and love that you gave freely to me and my family. No matter how far from grace I had fallen, there was always a seat for me next to you at church. I will always be grateful for the Godly example you lived before me. Sending love and condolences, Penny Cronon Taylor and The Cronin Family

Dear Uncle Ed-- I was so sorry to hear about Aunt Veta's passing. She was a truly unique person and I have many fond memories of her. I am so grateful that she was able to meet Hugh Pat and only wish she had been able to see my new son, Declan. She will be missed by all who knew her. Please accept my condolences and those of my family. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Carrie Ellen

I met Veta two times but knew she was a lovely, caring lady. My daughter Toni Hooten and her family loved her deeply. Sorry Ed for your loss, may God be with you.

Uncle Ed -- I am SO SORRY I am not going to be able to get home this time. I am in very poor health and doctor says I cannot make the trip right now. The kids are pretty upset, but I deep telling them it is time for Aunt Veta to move on to a higher ground and to remember the good times at The Ranch we had together - the mice and the hydrant - the cows and the fishing without a hook! Love you!
