Mary Alice Smith, 83, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Sunday, February 9, 2014, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
Mary, daughter of Harry Porter and Grace Wing (McCollough) Ingels, was born March 4, 1930, in Savonsburg, Kansas. She had been employed in the healthcare profession. Mary enjoyed dancing, fishing, being outdoors and she especially enjoyed being around a campfire. She was a member of the First Christian Church.
In September of 1951 she was married to Lyman Leo Smith and he preceded her in death on May 9, 1988.
Also preceding her in death were her parents, one son, Gary L. Smith and two brothers, Kenneth Ingels and Harry Ingels.
Surviving are three sons: Ernest L. Smith of Greybull, Wyoming, Kevin L. Smith of Oakland, California, and Donald R. Smith of Wichita, Kansas; two sisters, Helen Redman of Wichita, Kansas, and Hazel Blair of Overland Park, Kansas; two brothers, Robert Dean Ingels, Amarillo, Texas, and John Lee Ingels, Springdale, Arkansas; 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation for Mary will be Friday evening, February 14, 2014, from 6 - 8 p.m. in the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will follow Saturday morning, February 15, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother John Harwell officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Olive Cemetery.
