Obituary of Georgia Taylor

Georgia E. Taylor, 84 year old resident of Doniphan, MO died Saturday, February 1, 2014 at the Southeast Health Care of Ripley County. Mrs. Taylor was born February 9, 1929 in Ripley County. Mrs. Taylor was of the Missionary Baptist faith and enjoyed spending time with her family and writing poetry.
On August 27, 1949 she was married to Raymond "Slim" Taylor, who preceded her in death November 6, 1988. Also preceding her in death were her parents, Sam and Virgie Johnson Ryan; three sisters, Dorothy Ray, Ruth Taylor and Edith Garrison; three brothers, Pete, Acel, and Jerry Ryan.
Surviving are four sons, Dennis, Donnie, Raymond, and Ronnie Taylor all of Doniphan; two sisters, Stella Hoefer of Doniphan; Joyce Grissom of Pocahontas, AR; one brother, Joe Ryan of Doniphan; and several grand and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Taylor will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, February 6, 2014 in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Hubert Payne officiating. Visitation will begin at noon on Thursday. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
