Susan Leroux Almond, 66, of Sherwood, Arkansas, died Monday, January 27, 2014, at the Baptist Spring Hill Hospital in North Little Rock, Arkansas.
Mrs. Almond, daughter of the late Garold Norman and Lydia Belcher (Mackley) Leroux, was born June 30, 1947, in Doniphan, Missouri. She had been a nurse and the people she served in her profession were of her utmost concern. Mrs. Almond was of the Baptist faith.
On November 2, 1989, she was married to Donald R. Almond in Las Vegas, Nevada, and he survives.
Also surviving are one son, Kenny (and Tami) Roark of Ellsinore, Missouri; one step-daughter, Karen E. Beers of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; one brother, Danny (and Lois) Leroux of Hope Summit, Missouri; one niece, Carrie Danielle; two nephews, Chris and Gene Leroux; five grandchildren, Fallon Roark, Dennis Roark, Brittany Beers, Rena Rymer and Shane Keener; and one great-grandchild, Pyper Rose Sartin.
Visitation for Mrs. Almond will take place Friday evening, January 31, 2014, from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will be held Saturday morning, February 1, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with burial to follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
