Pamela Jean Gibson, 60, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Wednesday, January 15, 2014, at her residence in rural Ripley County.
Mrs. Gibson, daughter of Paul Franklin and Norma Jean (Thornton) McClendon, was born February 22, 1953, in Caruthersville, Missouri. She had been a waitress. Mrs. Gibson enjoyed bingo and dancing and being with her family and friends. She attended First Baptist Church in Caruthersville.
She had been married to Patrick Joey Gibson and he preceded her in death on January 13, 2000.
Surviving are special friends, Mary Ater, Becky Jones, Cloe Jones and Elvis Jones, all of Doniphan; her mother in-law and father-in-law, Wanda and "Pistole" Perkins of Doniphan; friends from Caruthersville, Mamie Scott, Lana Craig and Lemon Armstrong; two sisters, Betty Perkins of Doniphan and Margaret Welch of Caruthersville; three brothers, Rickie Harden, Caruthersville, Steve McClendon of Dawson Springs, Kentucky, and James Dale Dyer of Doniphan and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Diana Dyer.
A private family burial is planned.
