Paul Saunders, Jr., 87, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Sunday, December 15, 2013, at Southeast Health Center of Ripley County.
Mr. Saunders, son of the late Paul and Myrtle (Wilson) Saunders, Sr., was born May 27, 1926, in Greenville, Missouri. He had been a carpenter and also installed and repaired overhead doors. A veteran, Mr. Saunders served in the U. S. Navy during World War II.
Surviving are his wife, Betty Saunders of the home; three children, Debra Lynne Hammond and Brenda Karen D'Amico, both of Doniphan and Tom Keith Saunders of Waukesha, Wisconsin; 7 grandchildren, Jonathan, Kelley, Michael, Kristin, David, Kevin and Nicole; and 5 great-grandchildren, Charles, Grace, Charlotte, Bryant and Jasic.
He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Donna Kaye, one sister, Mary Brayman, and two brothers, William Inman and Robert Saunders.
Visitation will begin at noon, Wednesday, December 18, 2013, at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Pope Chapel Cemetery.
