Carl Eugene Personette, 69, of Grandin, Missouri, died Wednesday, December 4, 2013, at the Current River Nursing Center in Doniphan.
Mr. Personette, son of the late Carl Edward and Elsie Nellie (Ketterman) Personette, was born December 11, 1943, in Peoria, Illinois. He had been City Marshall of Grandin. Mr. Personette was also Fire Chief of Grandin for many years and, after retirement, became an honorary member of the department. In addition he had served as a Reserve Deputy for Carter County for a long period of time. He was a member of the Grandin Masonic Lodge and had attended the North Point Nazarene Church in Poplar Bluff. Mr. Personette loved to hunt, fish and travel and he especially enjoyed being with his family.
On May 8, 1995, he was married to Mary Ellene Bias at Pocahontas, Arkansas. She survives.
Also surviving collectively are 12 children, 22 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; and three sisters.
He was preceded in death by one sister.
Funeral services will be held on Friday afternoon, December 13, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. Burial will follow in the Grandin Cemetery.
