Earl Ray Fagan, age 73, of Riverside, California, passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2013, at Keck Hospital of USC in Los Angeles, California. Earl, son of Ivan and Lula (Morris) Fagan, was born March 19, 1940, in Gatewood, Missouri. He graduated from Couch High School in 1958. He served his country, in the Missouri National Guard, from 1957 to 1958. Earl received his BS degree from Arkansas State University in 1962, and began a teaching career in Versailles, Missouri. In 1964, he moved to St. Louis, Missouri, and continued his teaching career, before being hired by Chrysler Corporation to oversee the making of artillery shells for the military in Vietnam. Earl began his business career in Breeze, Illinois, supervising the manufacture of storage buildings. Earl was transferred, by his company, to California in 1974, and worked there until 1981, when he took a position as Manager of Vicro Office Furniture Manufacturing Company in Conway, Arkansas. Returning to California in 1984, Earl entered the Manufactured Housing Industry. In 1996, he started E & K Classic Homes, Inc., as President and CEO. This company became one of the top five most successful companies of its kind, in the state of California. Earl was a member of the Magnolia Center Church of Christ in Riverside, California. He and his wife were strong supporters of the church's Prayer Ministry and their Outreach to the Homeless. Earl is survived by his wife, Karen (Fischer) Fagan of Riverside, California, by his son, Stephen Fagan of Denver, Colorado, by his sister, Freeda (Fagan) Agin of Doniphan, Missouri, and by his cousin, Mary Lou (Fagan) Boyd of Doniphan, Missouri. He is also survived by many other beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews. Earl was preceded in death by his parents, Ivan and Lula Fagan, and by his brother, James Fagan. Earl will be greatly missed and fondly remembered, with love and respect, by all who knew him! Funeral services for Mr. Fagan will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, November 23, 2013 in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with Steve Sanders officiating. Visiting will begin at Noon on Saturday. Burial will be in the Liberty Cemetery.
