Diana Sue Payne, 64, of Fairdealing, Missouri, died Tuesday, November 5, 2013, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Mrs. Payne, daughter of Robert Lee and Hazel Lee (Brewer) Chambers, was born April 16, 1949, in Austin, Indiana. Diana was a retired registered nurse who enjoyed reading, sewing and she especially liked being with her grandchildren. She attended Logan Creek Baptist Church. On March 1, 1968, she was married to David Rodger Payne at Doniphan and he survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Jessica LaMyra Shields of Blue Springs, Missouri; one son, Jeremy David Payne of Jefferson City, Missouri; one sister, Rose M. Beckwith of Crothersville, Indiana; three brothers, Robert Lee Chambers, Jr. of Scottsburg, Indiana, Lonnie Dale Chambers of Worden, Illinois, and Harry Michael Chambers of Austin, Indiana; and two grandchildren, Erin Gabrielle and Sarah Ryan Shields. She was preceded in death by two infant children, Venda Louise and Robert Lee, her parents, one sister, Sharon Lynn and one brother, Jeffery Curtis Chambers. Visitation will take place Friday evening, November 8, 2013, from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will follow on Saturday morning, November 9, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
