Berta Lee Ferguson, 92, of Fairdealing, Missouri, died Wednesday, May 21, 2008, at her residence.
Mrs. Ferguson was born July 28, 1915, at Cardwell, Missouri. She had been a truck driver at a factory. Mrs. Ferguson loved to read and crochet and was a member of the VFW Post #3485 Women's Auxiliary, a member of the Center Hill Church and a life member of the DAV.
On December 12, 1979, she was married to Donald Ferguson and he preceded her in death on April 19, 2003.
Surviving are two daughters, Dixie Ferguson of Fairdealing, Missouri, and Mary Steber of Waskom, Texas; one son, Doug Pendleton of Lebanon, Ohio; nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and twelve great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Ferguson was preceded in death by her parents, Liddie Khone Elliott and Pleas Elliott, two sisters, Velva and Olene, and eight brothers, Willis Elliott, Stephen Elliott, Burlie Elliott, Melvin Elliott, Frank Elliott, Luther Elliott, Carl Elliott and Ralph Elliott.
Visitation will be Friday evening, May 23, 2008, from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan, Missouri. The funeral service will be Saturday, May 24, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home chapel with Brother Jimmy Gilbert officiating. Burial will follow in the Center Hill Cemetery.
